The term Best Management Practice (BMP) or storm water control measured refer to structural or engineering control systems to manage polluted water left behind by severe weather conditions. BMP reduces water pollution and can reduce the flood risk. Storm water runoff is rain that is not absorbed into the soil. As it flows off, the storm water picks up pollutants from the soil, such as pesticides, fertilizers, bacteria, and sediment. Most of the pollution in our creeks, rivers, and lakes is brought by storm water.
Our professional services include various stages of storm water management and routine maintenance of BMP systems, including sediment retention ponds, vegetation strips, and grassy swales.
